Adam Zhang

Adam Zhang is the Founding Partner and CEO of Collabrium Partners.

 

Adam has considerable experience advising on China-related cross-border M&A transactions across a range of industries, including healthcare, technologies, consumers, food & beverages, chemicals, industrials, automotive, etc.

 

Previously Adam spent years at a leading global investment banking firm as a senior management member and successfully expanded the business in terms of business exposure and geographic coverage. Before his investment banking career, he worked for a Fortune 500 company in China actively involved in business development, key account management and sales & marketing excellence functions to carry out business strategic plans and accelerate business expansion in China.

Jonathan Shi

Jonathan Shi has more than 25 years of experience in investment banking, particularly in M&A and financial advisory.

 

Previously, he served as Head of M&A at Haitong International, Senior Partner at Alantra China, Managing Director at ABN AMRO, Managing Director and Head of China at Lazard, and Managing Director and Head of China M&A at Credit Suisse, where he led multiple major overseas listings and other financings for Chinese corporates as well as Chinese cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Prior to working in investment banking, he worked as a practising solicitor with Slaughter and May in London and Hong Kong, focusing on corporate and securities law practice.

 

Jonathan graduated from the University of International Business and Economics (Bachelor of Economics) in Beijing and the London School of Economics and Political Science (Master of Laws).

Donna Eng

Donna Eng has 15 years of global financial advisory experience focused on early initiatives in Europe-Asia M&A corporate transactions, such as advising one of the first European Bank investments in a Chinese Bank when the Chinese government first opened to foreign investment and providing advice to a Chinese state-owned market leader in its landmark stake acquisition in a Global Power Equipment producer and the set-up of two JVs. Her transaction work spanned from small family businesses to large corporate companies across all sectors. 

Before joining Collabrium Partners, Donna worked in multiple senior management positions at Rothschild & Co. in Asia, the US, and Europe.

 

She graduated from Princeton University with a BSE in Chemical Engineering (Material Sciences) and attended executive classes at Columbia University.

Hiroto Yamada

Mr. Yamada has over 20 years of investment banking experience in Japan. He has advised on many landmark Japanese transactions in industrial, healthcare, automotive, home appliances, robotics, technology, and more. Mr. Yamada has excellent relations with top Japanese entrepreneurs and leading global Japanese companies. He has also advised on a large number of cross-border transactions to help Japanese companies expand their business globally.

 

Before joining Collabirum Partners, Mr. Yamada served as a Managing Director and President of Greenhill Japan. Prior to Greenhill, he was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch Japan, where he led the M&A Group, and at Goldman Sachs, where he worked with Financial Institutions, Telecommunications, Media and Technology, and Mergers and Acquisitions.

 

Mr. Yamada received his MBA from IMD in Switzerland and his BA in Economics from the University of Tokyo.
